In December, Governor Bob Riley appointed Bryan Knox, Auctioneer for Amerisouth Auctions, to the Alabama State Board of Auctioneers. Being one of only eight members on the Alabama Board, it is a true demonstration of the noteworthy effects Knox has had on the auction industry.

Every four years the Governor conducts a grueling statewide search for an Auctioneer who displays remarkable talent and stands out above the rest in the following four areas:  ethics, professionalism, experience and dedication.

Through the years, along with his responsibilities at Amerisouth, Bryan has been giving back to the auction industry he loves in many ways. He serves as an instructor at Nashville Auction School, teaching to help others launch their successful careers. In addition, he currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Auctioneers Association, working to improve auction law and to educate the public as to the benefits of selling their assets using the auction method of marketing.

Bryan has held many significant positions, including the International Auctioneer Grand Champion, and states that he is "extremely proud and humbly honored" when asked about his most recent appointment of leadership. "I was truly flattered by this offer and am grateful for this wonderful opportunity. This is a very exciting development for me!"
