Emmette Barran was awarded the title of first runner-up in the International Ringman Championship last Wednesday evening at the International Auctioneers Conference and Show.  This year’s conference celebrated 60 years running and was held in Overland Park, Kansas from July 13-18. 

The conference consists of six days of educational classes, business opportunities, competition, tradition and fellowship.  This year was the third year for the International Ringman Championship competition and fifteen ringmen participated. The event is presented in partnership with the Professional Ringmen’s Institute. 

Emmette displayed his talents and bid spotting skills and was judged along with his fellow competitors on his ability to interact with the audience and communicate bids to the auctioneer.
